The Role of Computed Tomography of the Lung in Spontaneous pneumothorax

Abstract

|
The spontaneous peneumothorax occured by rupture of subpleural blebs which enter the pleural cavity through an opening in the visceral pleura. The pneumothorax can be easily diagnosed by conventional chest X-ray, buy it is very diffecult for
finding the
small blebs which is the cause of penumothorax.
We evaluated the usefulness and prlblems of chest CT in spontaneous pneumothorax patients.
